Ahoy Readers!

Happy 2021!

This Fall I got out for a couple overnighters on the bike.

It always refreshes me to load up some gear, wander the New England back roads, and be self contained for a couple days.

This was my 6th year in a row getting out around Columbus Day.

In 2017 I rode from Boston to New London, Connecticut over two 65-ish mile riding days then took the ferry to Long Island to camp.

For 2020, I repeated this tour because the quiet roads in central Rhode Island and Connecticut have been calling to me for three years.

Read the details of the ride HERE.

Then, later in the Fall of 2020 a stretch of  60+ degree November weather and a few spare Covid induced non-workdays gave me the opportunity to pounce on another Short Tour that had been stirring around my brain space for a year or so….

…Boston to Wachusett Mountain

This was full on glorious and ride I will return to this Spring.  I camped up on the summit to capture sunset then the sunrise with my very own eyes.

The story is over on my CrazyGuy journal HERE.

Sometime this year, promise me you all will get up on mountain or even just a hill top with unobstructed views to the East for a sunrise.

It’s so humbling and rewarding.
